DESCRIPTION A thin wall, low cost, heat shrinkable material offering good electrical and mechanical characteristics. It is produced from a specially formulated polyvinyl chloride material which is expanded during the manufacturing process. When exposed to heat in excess of 275°F for a few seconds, it will shrink rapidly and uniformly, conforming to the contour of the object being covered.
APPLICATIONS Insulation and jacketing of batteries, capacitors and similar objects -- protective covering for precision machine parts and cutting tool -- wire and cable identification -- insulation of tools against electrical shocks -- a vast range of applications in the production of industrial equipment, toys, sporting goods, electronics, medical and consumer products.

Sizes Available to cover diameters from .90" up to 6.265". Wall thickness are available are .002", .003", .004", .006", .008" and .012" Supplied either as continuous tubing on rolls or as cut-to-length pieces. Small size cut pieces can be supplied E-Z Open at no additional cost, which is a semi-open configuration permitting faster and easier applications
Colors Can be supplied clear or in almost any color, either opaque or transparent
Shrinking A portable heat gun can be used for most applications. Recommended temperature rating of 500° will provide about 300°F when the nozzle is held 4 inches from the surface of the tubing. For high volume production, the use of heat tunnel is recommended.
